This home is full of secrets. Secret garage doors, subtly hidden behind screens. Secret access from one space to the next. But first, there were the secrets from the previous renovation, creating new challenges to be overcome.
We got there with this clever design by Tim Dorrington. The old, existing house marries the new addition through an adjoining entry bridge, carefully combining two tricky rooflines. Cedar detailing runs from interior to exterior, and material differences make the big, black box containing the new bedroom, bathroom and garage, even more striking.
